Actor Ben Affleck was seen in a heated exchange with law enforcement outside his Brentwood home on Tuesday, days after FBI agents visited his property.

Photographs captured the 52-year-old leaning out of his BMW window, gesturing animatedly toward two officers in a nearby police vehicle.

The encounter highlighted the ongoing tensions in the neighborhood following a spate of events involving private security measures and federal investigations.

According to sources, the heightened police presence was due to private security protocols initiated by neighbors, which reportedly restricted residents’ access to their homes.

“Ben was talking to the police about that situation,” a source told Page Six. Despite the inconvenience, Affleck was eventually permitted to return to his property.

The police activity follows an FBI visit to Affleck’s residence as part of an investigation into unauthorized drone activity linked to the devastating Palisades Fire.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assisted the FBI in a “grid search” for drones that may have interfered with firefighting operations.

The FBI task force is probing an incident in which a private drone reportedly damaged a “super scooper” aircraft involved in combating the wildfires.

Sources disclosed that agents approached Affleck to check whether his home surveillance footage captured any evidence of the rogue drone. As of now, Affleck has not been implicated or charged in connection with the investigation.

Wildfire Evacuation Adds to Chaos

The incident comes after Affleck was forced to evacuate his rental home on January 7 due to the raging Los Angeles wildfires.

The fires, which have claimed over 25 lives and destroyed thousands of properties, forced many residents to seek refuge.

Affleck temporarily stayed at the nearby home of his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12.

A source shared that Affleck, despite being under evacuation orders, returned to his home on January 8.

“Ben knows many people who unfortunately lost their homes. He has seen a lot of devastation, and it’s beyond tragic,” the insider said.

The actor has been actively reaching out to assist wildfire victims, further demonstrating his commitment to helping his community.
